The Cast

DWAYNE BUSH (Brian / Screenwriter)

Dwayne BushBorn and raised in Queens, Dwayne has been acting since he was 18. He has performed in Off-Broadway productions of Four Dogs And A Bone, Sexual Perversity In Chicago, This Is Our Youth and Suburbia. He has also appeared in the national tours of Streamers and the award-winning anti-drug drama Halfway There. As a writer, both of Mr. Bush's plays The Tarantella and 80's Christmas Music were produced at the historic Henry Street Settlement Theater in lower Manhattan. Dwayne also acted in both productions.

JENNIFER NASO (Angela)

Jennifer NasoJennifer was born in Tom's River, New Jersey. After appearing in several local productions, Jennifer decided to move to New York City and pursue an acting career full-time. She has performed Off-Broadway in plays such as Women Of Manhattan and Cinders. In addition to The Tarantella, she co-starred in the acclaimed independent film LBS. Ms. Naso's television credits include appearances on The View and MTV2.


STEVEN RICHARD HARRIS (Young Priest)

New York-bred, Steven has been acting for nearly two decades.  His extensive resume includes appearances on Sex and the City and As The World Turns. Most recently, Mr. Harris was seen in the role of Seth on the daytime soap One Life To Live.

 

 

The Crew

JIM KIERNAN (Director / Director of Photography / Producer)

Jim Kiernan

A Queens native & graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts for Film & Television Production, Jim's student directing and writing credits include "The Repossession," a short film featuring Marilyn Ghigliotti (Clerks) and Nicol Zanzarella (Too Much Sleep) and "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" a sitcom presented in the 1997 NYU First Run Festival.  Since graduating NYU, he has spent time freelancing at "Saturday Night Live," "The Tonight Show," "The Howard Stern Show," Comedy Central, MTV, and HBO Sports. In the summer of 2005, Jim directed the one hour pilot of "Zip Code" and a live multi-camera video for Seven Stitches, both currently in post production.

LAURA LEIGH BUSH (Producer)

Laura was born and raised in Queens. She recently formed Avoido Productions, LLC with her brother Dwayne. The Tarantella is Laura's first producing effort.

DENISE & JOE FALCARO (Executive Producers)

Denise and Joe formed their production company Co-Dependent Pictures in 2002. Since then they have produced the acclaimed short Uncle Ronald's Revenge and the feature film Please Walk Ginger.

The Musicians

MARY TRICARICO (Music)

Mary Tricarico

Mary Tricarico wrote and performed the two original songs “Life” and “Branches” from The Tarantella.  She also composes for and sings in the band Little Lamb, www.littlelambmusic.com., teaches editing to producers from ABC, CBS, NBC, MTV, and edits spots for Nickelodeon.

 

 

SAMANTHA ALLEN  (Vocals)

Sammy Allen

Samantha Allen contributes vocals to the two original songs "Life" and "Branches" in The Tarantella.  Originally from Washington D.C. and singing since the age of 3, she moved to New York City in pursuit of a singing career in 2001.  Samantha has performed at numerous established venues, including Joe’s Pub, El Flamingo, Meow Mix, and the Bowery Poetry Club.  She was also the winner of Fox 5’s Good Day New York -  “New York Idol” contest in 2002.  Some of her recording credits include collaborations with Junior Vasquez, Richard “Humpty” Visson, and up and coming recording artist, Jason Walker. She is currently fronting, recording, and performing with the rock band Seven Stitches in Los Angeles.

Dan Weidman  (Score)

Dan Weidman

Dan was born and raised in Queens, NY. He is proud to be a part of the Glendale music scene. Besides working on film scores, Dan also dedicates his talents to the Musical Morphing Gang, which includes the bands Bio Ninja Circus, Male Warmth, and Alien Art On Earth. When it comes to music he is a jack of all trades: writing, performing, recording, producing, mixing, and duplicating all of his own material.

The Tarantella was officially selected for: the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, 2004 Brooklyn Digifest, and the Big Mini-DV Festival.
